People who have seen Asami Moriya's works say that the creatures depicted in them are strange and mysterious. The main characters in her works are imaginary creatures.

In creating her works, she uses animals and plants as references.

I also observe the surface, texture, and shape of everyday objects (fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, etc.), which I am used to seeing every day, and use them as hints to create the creatures in my works. And I try to make my imaginary creatures more realistic, strange and weird.

Each and every creature that she has produced in this way lives in and belongs to an environment surrounded by the natural world, such as the sea, mountains, and caves. This is what I have expressed in my numerous works. To put it another way, each of my works is a part of the story of the moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and other stars in the universe. She is currently in the process of creating the stars in the universe. She hopes to form a large universe by creating the stories of the stars one by one.

If a star is a work of art, what is the universe? Is it her life itself? It is still unknown. Looking back on her past works, I feel that she has begun to be aware of "motherhood", "woman", "sex" and "life" as one of her themes.

I will create the world of Asami Moriya's universe by creating numerous star stories from the perspective of each of these themes that I have begun to be aware of.
