Jack Sorressa sees art as a means to the contemplation of the beauty of existence.
In this research, light is fundamental, an element that makes the material world manifest and reveals its continuous nature of change.

Jack lives and works in Puglia, a region of southern Italy. He feels a great bond with his land and most of his works depict landscapes, glimpses, or elements of Puglia.

His favorite artists are the Impressionists (Monet and Degas), the Post Impressionists (Van Gogh) and the representatives of Japanese ukiyo-e (Hokusai and Hiroshige).

His principal technique acrilycs on canvas but also uses watercolors, inks, oil pastels and he experiments with digintal illustration.
