Bénédicte GOUDEMANT, known as O'SHINY, was born in 1966 in Paris. A self-taught painter, she stands out as an emerging figure in the field of art. Since her youth, she has been impregnated with the aestheticism and spiritual aura of the Far East, thanks to the origins of her maternal family. Transcended by this vision, O'SHINY transports us to places conducive to meditation and makes us discover her world marked by a great tranquility. Her passion for the world of haute couture led her to take evening classes at Paris Esmod. There she learned the basics of fashion design, such as silhouettes, moodboards and textiles, and thanks to an opportunity, she moved to Miami, USA. O'SHINY created her own ready-to-wear line under the name BNS French Design. This experience allowed her to develop her artistic approach to materials as well as her sense of precision and perfection. After this enriching period, she moved to New York where she designed her new collection. Back in France, O'SHINY was selected by JL DESFORGES for her first fashion show. She took the opportunity to perfect her knowledge of art history at the Louvre School as an auditor and discovered her vocation: Painting. Since then, painting has become an essential part of her life. O'SHINY's inspirations and artistic references are multiple, ranging from Henri Matisse's color combinations to Gustav Klimt's precious compositions, through the serenity of Japanese gardens, Hindu architecture and art deco. These varied influences are reflected in her creations, where she harmoniously blends elements from different cultures and eras to create unique and captivating works.
