Concept

From the beginning of her and throughout her entire pictorial career, the artist has worked with informal lyrical abstraction through gesture and material impact. The abstract images in her paintings have been created in full awareness of the present moment. Her need for her spiritual search led her to learn meditation techniques, and to practice them intensely, since 2003 in Barcelona. She later traveled to North India, where she lived for eight years immersed in her spiritual and oriental ashram in New Delhi. Her artistic journey is divided into a before and an after of the trips and experiences in India. It is since then that this set of experiences acquires a great connotation and a spiritual effect, in which the gold color is constantly present as a call for the transcendence, dimension and spirituality of the entire human being.

Doctorate researcher in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona, currently in her last year of research for the doctoral thesis. About Amrita Sher-Gil, the eminent Woman Modern Painter from India.

During her university studies she obtained an exchange scholarship at the University of Fine Arts in Athens and a research scholarship at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She has held collective & individual exhibitions in several cities such as New York, Philadelphia, Mexico, Bolivia, London, New Delhi, Hong Kong & Athens.

Eva María has also been an artistic director & has been part of various artistic teams for advertising, movies, plays and television programs. Her career has led her to be an educator and creator of intercultural programs. She has worked as a coordinator and teacher at the Casa Asia Education Department in Barcelona. She taught classes and seminars at the University of Barcelona, the Pere Tarrés Foundation and the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation, the University of Ponferrada, the Technical University of Loja in Ecuador, the University of Delhi and the International University for Peace, Brahma Kumaris, India. For 8 years, she lived and worked between New Delhi and her city, Barcelona.
