Concept

I believe that as light touches the earth it also touches my art. At least it is what I feel when painting. The urge to bring warmness and life is palpable when creating what I see and feel. Nature can be expressed in a nostalgic way of seeing the world and its interpretation throught vibrant or livid colours. Writting has a immeasurable place in creating the paintings which I designate as visual poetry. Light, dreams, expression and emotion are some keywords which ilustrates what the work voices in itself.

Biography

Ana Lúcia Ventura was born in 1996 in Beja, Portugal. Currently lives in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal where she finished her BA in Painting in the Faculty of Fine-Arts. The artist also has a professional course in Creative Ceramics, extending her knowledge and pratice in the ceramics field. Ended the apprenticeship in ceramics in Ó! Cerâmica, a store and ceramic studio located in Porto, Portugal. Currently is finishing Grafic Design at LSD - Lisbon School of Design.
