Sandra has tried out several materials and techniques over her life. Her artworks range from figurative to totally abstract, a style that she passionately embraced lately. Her technique is quite unusual for the style that she proposes, using simply coloured pencils on paper. Biography

Sandra Eliana Chaves was born in the Province of Mendoza in Argentina, on January 4th, 1960. Along with her came the love for music and painting as well as her shyness.
When she was still a little girl that quietly drew and painted in her room, she started to take piano lessons in the National University of Cuyo in her motherland.
It was at the age of 17 when she first expressed her will to become an artist. However, due to her family’s prejudice for art, her vocation was put on hold for several years.
After an extended period of time, an unexpected and even unwished event makes contact with the sleeping little girl who finally wakes up with an empowered, free and playful identity, determined to express herself through vibrant colours, inspired in sounds, images, lyrics and any other thrilling event.
Today she allows herself to live to the fullest. She “describes herself” through each of her artworks.
