The main theme in Peisi's work is to bring up questions about femininity and the experience of women in the world, in addition to frequently addressing questions about mental health and the fight against depression, themes such as apathy and existential suffering. Peisi's work is extremely intimate, as she believes her art honesty consists in speaking what she knows best. Peisi uses portraiture, especially female, as she believes that this is the most impactful way she has found to generate empathy and immediate connection with the viewer.
