I'm Amy Diener and I'm a lover of color, painting, and traveling! I am an international contemporary artist specializing in vibrant dot paintings. Having a long history of battling OCD, painting dots has been a positive outlet for me and a conversation starter on spreading awareness about mental health. The painting process is very repetitive and requires a lot of focus. It is a mindful practice, where I can be fully present and aware in the moment.
From a viewer’s perspective, looking into my mandala dot paintings is extremely healing. If you are anxious, they can help lower anxiety including limiting your repetitive and intrusive thoughts. They can often guide you in meditation, bringing more focus and clarity to your practice. For children, they bring joy and laughter during times of anger and sadness.
My solo exhibitions include “A Meditation on Love” (Blaue Stunde Gallerie, Berlin), “Colors of the Capital” (Attic Studios, Bangkok), and “Mandala’s in Multi-Hue” (Ce La Vi Gallery, Bangkok). My group exhibitions include “Freelance Artist’s 98” featuring Thai Princess Somsawali (Queens Gallery & Montien Hotel, Bangkok), “Art Apart Fair” (PARKROYAL on Pickering, Singapore), “Inside” (Kalwit Studio & Gallery, Bangkok), “Luscious” (Unframed Artists Gallery, New Paltz, New York), and “Young Artist’s Group 2009” (Katonah Art Museum, Katonah, New York.)
My artwork was the cover story for Wanderlust: Expat Life & Style Magazine – Thailand (August / September 2015.) My work was selected for the Saatchi Art “Making Faces: New Portraits” collection. My artwork has also been featured in Bangkok Post, The Journal News (New York), Global Living, art4dasia, Expat Life, Bangkok 101, Bangkok Asia City Guide, AngloInfo, BKK Kids, LeParisPhuket, and Asia Art Tours.
