I struggled through man-made rules and the way express art is through freedom of movement and what comes in the moment. For me, painting is the process of facing the mind behind the pictures

In the compelling brushstrokes of Seungho Jang, life within a painting becomes a raison d'être. As an artist and a citizen, Jang confronts the pervasive isolation that permeates our society—a society that is both ours and not ours, where individuals struggle alone amidst a backdrop of conflict and disdain.

"The act of painting has evolved into a psychological struggle, a resistance against the abnormal structures that define our lives today," Jang reflects.

Through his canvases, Seungho Jang seeks to explore and question the role of the artist in a world dominated by capital and devoid of community reflection. "What does it mean to exist as an artist in a society that seems to have lost its way? Can we dream of a utopian world, or redefine modernism within our barriers?" he ponders.
