Fumiaki Asai, born in Aichi Prefecture and raised in Shiga Prefecture, began creating in 2011. He began creating works after seeing the scenery and landscapes of Mexico on a TV travel program and being struck by the colors. The next day, he started creating. He did not attend an art college and focuses mainly on painting. He does not think in his head, but colors and techniques spring from his subconscious, and colors appear when he looks at things, regardless of whether they have a form or not. This has been the case since he was a child. Asai is also interested in foreign countries, and after graduating from high school, he stayed in Australia for about a week. He was greatly shocked by the difference in everything he experienced through his five senses, and this led to his desire to work abroad. His influences include American culture and British rock music. He wants people to feel something without thinking too much when they see his work, and his unadorned, unadorned works are his own.
