At the root of the concept of my work is an exploration of the identity that Japan creates.
It is a thematic setting based on the religious beliefs that come from the Japanese climate, and the values and culture that are considered unique to Japan that have remained in the midst of Japan's modernization.
Looking at my works, the style is a mixture of ancient and modern. This is due to my desire to express universality by depicting the flow of time.
The times are always changing, and changing shapes and forms.
However, there are some things that never change.
I believe that a kind of universality is expressed in the things that remain unchanged even in the midst of these changing times, and I express this by showing the flow of time in the theme of each motif in a single work.
The expressions that have influenced me are those that I have been familiar with since I was a child, such as manga, games, and anime.
If we see subcultures such as manga, games, and anime as an extension of Japanese expression, what is the future of expression beyond that? I hope I can give birth to that.
