Alejandra Monge is an emerging contemporary artist based in Costa Rica. She started painting almost 20 years ago, predominantly oil paintings but sometimes combined with other techniques and materials. Her style is figurative abstract with circles featuring as the principal elements of her work. Daily life and human nature are her inspirations.

Biography

I am a sociologist and I have an MBA. I have been painting since 2001. It started as a hobby during my free time, and now, 19 years after, I can not stop because it´s my passion. Last year I did 2 exhibitions for the first time in my life, because of my family and friends had been telling me to do it, so I finally decided it. IThey were great experiences, I planned to continue this 2020 but the COVID situation didn´t allow me. I have sell several paintings mostly to friends and people I know love and appreciate art.

I do, mostly, oil painting, in an abstract figurative way. The circles are the main characters of my paintings and with them I represent my world.
