Biography

JORGE A. ORTEGA
Leon, Guanajuato. 1982
He graduated from the Bachelor of Visual Arts, with a specialization in Stamp from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Morelia of the Michoacana University of San Nicolas de Hidalgo de Morelia, Michoacan in the 2002-2006 cycle. It has 8 individual exhibitions in forums and cultural institutions of La Piedad, Michoacan, Leon, Guanajuato and Morelia Michoacan. He has participated in more than 35 collective exhibitions in national and international spaces such as Uruguay, USA, Germany, China and Russia. In 2002 he obtained the first place in the State Contest of Offerings of the Day of the Dead of Morelia, in 2007 he obtained the acquisition award at the State Meeting of Painting and Stamp Efrain Vargas of the State of Michoacan, also the acquisition prize of the XII State Salon of the Watercolor of the State of Michoacan. In 2009. His work is part of some collections in national and international institutions and museums.
