Concept

Yukari Arisaka, Ph.D. Born and based in Tokyo, Japan. Graduated from Doctoral Degree Course, Graduate School of Tama Art University (awarded doctorate) Yukari Arisaka has been focusing on oil painting, occasionally working on installation and mixed media works based on her paintings. Her works have been exhibited at various galleries and art festivals in and outside Japan. One of her goals as an artist is to capture transient images that could serve as a bridge between reality and the elusive world, the world which everyone has a glimpse of from time to time and yet forget about in their daily life because of its very elusiveness. She hopes that her works would invoke the memory of the elusive landscape, sealed in the realm of the unconscious.
