HARANO's style varies such as “realistic painting”, “painterly” and “pop art”. He has created the expression that best fits him. He asks himself what a realistic expression is for him. There is no answer to the question; however, he feels that the temperature, the truth, and the moment at that time could be put into his works as traces. What he considers as a theme is the two-sidedness of things. This approach is close to the middle path of Buddhism. Rather than the logical concept of contemporary art today, he feels that art is a primitive thing for him and for today’s society. His question is how art and people will change under a singularity such as the advent of AI and the development of quantum computers. He hopes to create his works with that question.
