João Paulo José da Silva, born in Fortaleza Ceará, graduated in history, self-taught visual artist. His work consists of contemporary art with techniques in woodcuts, monotypes, paintings and wood carving. His compositions refer to the Amerindian, caboclo and mystic universe. Observing that his work seeks to break with the traditional dogmas of art. His art is contemporary, fleeing from the conventional, having as influence the elements of nature, always making references to the body paintings and spelling of the Indians and personal introspection. wood, pieces of objects that can be explored artistically. Woodcut is its strong point, using wood found in garbage and in tree pruning related to contemporary prints with themes linked to forest culture and the elements of nature. As monotypes, a technique used with typographic ink, it explores the abstract and the inner complexity with interpretations of the universe.
