The particular interest of my work consists of the expression and development of shapes and colours delimited by contour lines, bringing together elements of the imaginary universe, seeking to confront and question reality in the way we see it and how we interpret it. So the question arises: What reality is accepted by us, how do we understand it and finally, how do we feel it?
As for my paintings, the images show themselves within fluid forms outlined by contour lines, characterized by painting and drawing. The question for the spectator is to interpret it as a painting image that shows itself as a drawing or would it be a drawing that shows itself as a painting?
My work is inspired by the Brazilian artist Rodrigo Godá, when referring to the reflections on the impact of information and images as a contaminating factor in contemporary society and also on past, present and future times as varied realities that coexist in the same expansive space through a network of temporal situations. Another strong influence is the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, who characterizes his works with intimate pictorial aspect where the realm of the senses prevails with an illogical and flamboyant look, represented by fluid forms full of colors and contrasts. I also follow the influence of Matisse regarding the strong colours and contrasts.
My drawings are specially inspired by Matisse's influence regarding strong and vibrant colors, with the background having the same importance as the theme, when both with
its contrasts and shapes, stand out forming a single and continuous image. The lines in my drawings remain guiding movements in the composition as a whole. As for my mosaics, I often use different materials, with weavings, painted clays, Brazilian stones, tiles and glass. In the production of utilitarian works, I mainly focus on my artistic proposal.
My work's concept questions when and how we can express and assimilate a unique creative potential, within a set of diverse, dynamic and adaptable ideas to situations of different natures. Based on this principle, such manifestations often oppose an ephemeral and dynamic scenario from the digital age in which we live with a deep reflection on what is manifested and accepted as real or imaginary, within a particular and collective vision.
My art strongly expresses with elements of the line and forms that intertwine and mix, provoking a result of a fluid, casual, imaginary, ethereal visual effect, subjectivized by deep feelings of my emotional universe.

I am a Brazilian visual artist, born in Rio de Janeiro. I have a BA Degree on Arte: Visual Communication from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and also a BA Degree on Visual Art with teaching and methodological training.
I lived in Rio through my youth observing landscapes and abstractions which are predominant in my work up to the present. Upon landing in Scotland (UK), in 1990, I exposed my Brazilian heritage and culture in exhibitions and art projects that I created and coordinated to the British public. Like the exhibitions “Visions and Dreams” at the Queen's Hall, in 1993, "Mediterrânean Inspirations" with the Artwork called " ThreeJ Sisters and the Lamp at the Judith Glue Gallery, in Edimburgh, Scotland on 1996 and the “ Holly Cross Primary School” mosaic commemorative panel project ( 7,5 x 1,5 m), with collective assistance of children and their parents. I had taught Art in various schools and workshops. The particular interest of my work consists on the expression of shapes and colours. It firmly exhorts elements of the line and forms delimited by contour lines, asking the viewer whether what he/she sees is a drawing or a painting. The colors fill the spaces of the shapes which blend with the background, becoming an extension of each work proposal.
