In creating a work of art, the first premise is to "feel something," but what is that "something"? It is "feeling," "line," and "space," and I express my own answer with visuals.

The strong Japanese cultural elements in my work are largely due to the environment in which I was raised. I have been fascinated by Japanese gardens since I was 13 years old, and studied them as a research subject at university. In my work, I project my thoughts on the relationship between people and the natural beauty of Japanese gardens, as well as "spatial beauty" and "ma" (space).

Born in Osaka in 1974, he graduated from the Department of Environmental Planning at Osaka University of Arts in 1997. While in school, he studied mainly Japanese garden design. In 2004, he moved his studio to Paris to focus on painting for two and a half years. After returning to Japan, he worked mainly in Osaka, but moved to Italy in 2015 to resume his activities in Europe. Currently working mainly in Brescia, Northern Italy.
