Born in Villanueva de la Serena, Badajoz, Justa Rayego is a Spanish contemporary abstract artist who lives and works between Ciudad Real and Marbella. She began her education at the Cáceres School of Art and has continued furthering her knowledge and skills along her career. Her interest in experimenting has led her towards disciplines as varied as engraving, painting, sculpture or photography.

Her distinctive personal style integrates a wide range of materials and techniques, and is characterized by the use of contrasting colors and bold compositions that combine both geometrical and organic forms. Her artworks seek to connect with the observer and convey to them a sense of positivity and belonging.

Rayegos’s artwork has been shown in exhibitions in Spain, including “Signos y Símbolos” at Brita Printz Gallery and “La Mirada Positiva” at Larra Gallery, both in Madrid, or “Temps des Dones” at O+O Gallery in Valencia. She and has also participated in art fairs such as ARCO (Edition 2000), ESTAMPA (Editions 2002 – 2010), The Pool Art Fair at Chelsea Hotel in New York in 2008, XIII Shanghai Art Fair in 2011 or Madeira International Art Biennale FEMINA 2011 and was also awarded with an Honorary Mention at the 2003 Edition of the Certamen de Arte Gráfico para Jóvenes Creadores.
