Andy Warhol is an American painter and a leading Pop Art artist. Some of his best-known works include motifs of Marilyn Monroe and Campbell's Soup cans. JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT, also from the United States, is an artist who began his career in graffiti art. He rose to prominence in the New York art scene, with many of his works dealing with social and political themes. Basquiat's work is characterized by raw energy and strong messages, and his style is unique in its combination of abstract imagery and text.
