My painting has always been bound up with examination of the land , and in particular, the ephemeral, those forces and presences that cannot be seen but which change and shape the land. My process involves intuition and immediacy in relation to specific environments. Working in a range of media including oil paint, watercolour, drawing sometimes on a large scale. I have been a practising and lecturing artist all my adult life, having graduated with a Master of Art and BA Honours Degree in Fine Art. Highlights of my career have included being selected twice for the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour annual exhibition, for the Sunday Times Watercolor competition (2020), and working on live installations at the Whitworth Gallery and Victoria Baths Manchester.
