I came to painting much later than most professional artists of my generation.

It was at primary school, thanks to my history and geography book, that I experienced my first artistic excitement when I discovered Lubin Baugin's "Still Life with a Chessboard", but I had to wait until I was 38 to be able to realise my dream and, with the unfailing support of my wife, start this career as a completely new artist.

From the outset, realising that my technical weaknesses were logical because I was purely self-taught, I began to study all the genres. When I started to work on still life, I discovered all the incredible possibilities that this genre held, as well as the connection that united me on this subject to the point where I no longer wanted to paint anything else.

And so, over the years, my little still lifes gave me the light I needed to grow as a man, while I tried every day to make the most of it in my paintings.

Today, I'm still amazed and deeply grateful that over 900 collectors in 39 countries hold at least one of my 2,450 small works. Thank you very much.
