Born in Tokyo in 1946. Born in Tokyo in 1946. After graduating from Rikkyo University with a degree in sociology, he studied abroad in England and aspired to become a painter. 1979, he was selected for the Nitten Exhibition for the first time, and in 1983, he was awarded the Special Prize of Excellence at the Ueno Royal Museum. 1979 to 1980, he frequently visited Islamic countries in the Middle East and Asia. His experiences in the Middle East and Asia became the main theme of his works, and his warm depictions of different cultures have been highly acclaimed worldwide. She has created picture books to share her experiences of traveling the world with children. Her "The World's Most Beautiful Boku no Mura" won the 43rd Sankei Juvenile Literature Publishing Culture Award Fuji Television Award, "Claudia's Inori" (text by Yasuko Murao) won the 14th Japan Picture Book Award Readers' Prize, and "A Circus Came to My Village" was selected as a book for the 43rd National Youth Reading Report Contest. The series "The Most Beautiful Boku no Mura in the World" and "Boku wa Tomo to Arukita" (Iwasaki Shoten) were both included in fourth grade Japanese language textbooks. The stories with beautiful pictures are popular among both children and adults.
