Born in Tokyo in 1935. Graduated from the School of Science and Engineering at Waseda University in 1961. Belongs to the Waseda Art Society. Majored in chemistry at university. After working in the laboratory of a chemical company for about 10 years, he built the Naka Izu Kiln (Naka Izu Tobo) in Naka Izu. He has been researching cinnabar glazes and other glazes, as well as overglaze painting such as firing and silver glaze, to broaden the scope of his creations. He holds solo exhibitions in various places every year and presents his works energetically.
