I feel that each of the ordinary scenery and precious objects that are a part of our daily lives has its own story to tell. Depending on the state of mind, they sometimes remind us of the smiles of loved ones, sometimes of nostalgia, and sometimes of people too close to us to see.... I believe that I can help enrich people's lives by capturing the universal emotions that everyone shares in scenery and subjects, and carefully capturing them in my woodblock prints.

Since his childhood, he loved drawing and wanted to be a painter. During his adolescence, he kept a lid on his love of drawing, but while in college he became interested in sketching. He spent all of his time working on sketches, as if all the emotions he had covered up had overflowed at once. He was introduced to the world of woodblock prints by an instructor at an art school held at the art supply store where he worked part-time, and he fell in love with the medium. He moved to Akaigawa Village, Hokkaido, in order to create works of art in the great outdoors. In order to confirm the direction of his work, he entered a public exhibition and received critiques and continued his studies. Currently a member of the Print Division of the Japan Artists Association.
