Biography

Gurgen Hakobyan was born in 1982 in Yerevan, Armenia. In 2004 he graduated from Yerevan State Academy of fine Arts, department of sculpture . Since 2004 up to now he has been working as a lecturer of sculpture in National University of Architecture and Construction (NUACA). In 2006 he became the member of the Armenian Artists' Union. 2013 he became the member and delegate of the International Medal art Federation /FIDEM/.
Gurgen Hakobyan also has some works in medal art creation which are devoted to Armenian composers such as Komitas, E. Mirzoyan, T. Mansouryan, A. Babajanyan, O. Duryan. He has also an ability to make creations in graphic genre. With his design and graphic works a CD has been produced based on Edward Mirzoyan and Vache Sharafyan's inventions which was called "Music of Armenia"

2001 group exhibition " Christian Armenia 1700" Yerevan Armenia.
2005 international Sculpture Symposium "Dedicated to the creation of Armenian scripts" Artashat, Armenia.
2006 personal exhibition in "Albert and Tove Boyajyan " gallery.
2008 he placed a sculpture "The Friendship Tree" made of tufa stone which was dedicated to Armenian-France amity in Clamart , France.

2011 Republic exhibition in Artists union of Armenia
2012 Republic exhibition in Artists union of Armenia
2013 in "Komitas" yearly music festival's circles which took place in Protzel, Germany Gurgen Hakobyan's personal exhibition of sculptures and graphics had been opened.
2015 Created a medal dedicated to the founding of the Komitas Museum. Armenia
2017 Republic exhibition in Artists union of Armenia .
