Shomina Ti

Contemporary artist Shomina Ti was born in 1996 and currently lives and works in Moscow. She began her creative path at the age of 23, after receiving higher education.

Contemporary artist Shomina Ti was born in 1996 and currently lives and works in Moscow. She began her creative path at the age of 23, after receiving higher education.

Education:
- In 2014-2019, Shomina Ti studied "Human Resources Management" at the Russian State University for the Humanities.

- From 2021 to 2023, she studied at an art school.

In 2024, she completed a practicum at MMOMA&AKI.

In her artistic practice, Shomina Ti focuses on images of women, using images of the body as a means of telling various stories.

This vision of nature arose during the time when Shomina Ti was engaged in contemporary choreography, and her kinesthetic perception of the world allows her to see nature not with her eyes, but literally feel it in space.

When working on her works, Shomina Ti invites models to create her paintings. However, most often she depicts herself, preferring to explore her own body language to tell a story or express a state. This process is similar to a dance: through the change of her body poses, the artist searches for the most expressive composition that can convey the intended thought.

Shomina Ti actively participates in exhibitions and fairs, as evidenced by her participation in the Art Russia Fair 2024 as part of the G1 gallery, as well as Fairs at Artplay, such as Kachi-bazaar and 4 seasons in 2023. She also has experience of exhibitions in famous state museums, including an exhibition at the N.A. Ostrovsky State Museum and the Darwin Museum with the exhibitions Personal Boundaries and Earth. Rebirth.
Her works are also presented in the permanent exhibition of the G1 gallery in Moscow and in the PINK Gallery in St. Petersburg.
