My works are created by incorporating into the artist's worldview the images of blotches and flecks that are accidentally created by applying the traditional Japanese painting technique of "tarashikomi" to paper, and by adding descriptive elements to them. The artist's ideas often go beyond the artist's imagination and expand the world of the work in unexpected directions.
In "Wearing a Sweater," the lines on the neck that resemble the collar of a sweater are accidental blotches of black ink, which inspired the idea of animals dressing themselves. The dog is depicted as a realistic entity by adding the minimum amount of necessity (depiction) to the accidental blotches.
The ink marks are a collection of ink particles carried by the movement of water, and the existence of the material itself, such as the feel of the texture, can be felt.
Realism created by layering the inevitable on the accidental" is the theme of my work. This is the theme of my work.
