I often look up at the sky when I travel and in my daily life. When I am almost lost in the mountains, I always look to the sky, as if I am always looking for somewhere to go. The sky often appears in my works, but I think I am not depicting the blue sky, but rather the images of my memories projected on the sky that I use as a screen. It would be nice to take pictures when I go on a trip, but for me the subject is already there. But for me, the subject is already a beautiful and well-constructed finished product, and it becomes a memo to remember, and nothing more is created. It is more to my liking to see, hear, touch, and lock in my memories, one by one, as if they have a lot of life in them. Memories turn into something like a dream, for better or worse, that does not add up, which we see in a deep sleep with no beginning or end. Such infinite paints of "memory" seem to mix together like threads tangling vertically and horizontally and develop a story on their own. This may be the only landscape photograph that I have ever had burned into my mind. Looking back, I often draw nature and landscapes. Birds, animals, insects, flowers, people, and objects. There may be some things that I can't show in my paintings that I don't appreciate enough. However, I think that all of these things that coexist and live together are "one of the endless landscapes I think of" that I see during my journey. I hope to express the "presence" of colors and shapes by creating things that have life. I hope that you can gently feel the story that will start there.

I believe that being born into a family involved in the arts and being exposed to art as a natural part of my life had a great influence on me. I am grateful for the environment in which I was able to study charcoal sketching and oil painting in earnest from the fifth grade. In junior high and high school, I joined the art club and the photography club. I also worked part-time at a design company while studying oil painting at an art college. I was drawn into the fascination of oil painting, design, and photography, and in no time at all, I was working in the advertising industry, where I have worked for several decades. I love the smell of oil paints in the room and the viscosity of early inkjet colors.
