I was born in Switzerland and have always had a passion for art.
I graduated in Mathematical Physical & Natural Sciences at the University of Naples "Federico II".
I am counted among the artists of the St'Art Gallery in Geneva (Switzerland) where my works are exhibited and I am their permanent artist https://www.startgallery-geneva.ch/maurizio-nittolo
I have participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions carried out in Avellino, Naples, Rome, Milan.
The painters who have influenced me range from Caravaggio to Vermeer, from Bouguereau to Jacques Louis David, and my painting deals with human anatomy and can be defined as contemporary figurative art.
Favorite painting technique is oil on canvas and particularly in monochrome, black and white.
White: light, purity, innocence, virginity, cleanliness, serenity and peace.
Black: darkness, fears, darkness, mourning, sin, death and the underworld.
In my works I try to make sure that anyone who observes them is invested by the pure message entrusted to light.
