Born in Verona (Italy) in 1978, I followed during my adolescence a purely technical training which contributed to develop my conception of space according to the rigor of the perspectives of the proto-Renaissance. My first loves were Fra Angelico, Paolo Uccello and Piero della Francesca, whose influence has since been one of the permanent characteristics of my painting.

Subsequently favoring my penchant for humanism and figurative painting, I attended, after a preparation for the Scuola del Nudo, the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. I was thus for years under the influence of the tradition of great Italian figurative painting: Michelangelo and Caravaggio, in particular, were the master inspirations of this period.

The Parisian years were decisive for the expansion of my iconographic references. The three beacons of my inspiration were the Louvre Museum with its universal gaze, the Guimet Museum which opened the door to my knowledge of 2,000 years of oriental art, and the Pompidou Center which allowed me to hone a contemporary sensibility.

After having revisited classical painting, my style underwent an important detour, due to the fascination of the Buddhist pantheon and the great Asian decorative tradition, which decided me to undertake my first experiments in the decoration of furniture and objects.
