Vasili Zianko was born on November 8th, 1977, in Stolbcy (Belarus)

Since 2009 - member of Belarusian Artist Union, since 2011 - member of Belarusian Design Union, since 2019 - Chairman of the section of monumental and decorative arts Belarusian Artist Union.
Majority of his art activity dedicates to design, decorative and applied arts. Preferred techniques include wall painting, ceiling painting, mosaic, relief, stained glass. Works are characterised by high professional level, ability to think constructively and develop large volumes of enclosures, bending them according to his own design. Creative background of the artist includes such major monumental projects, as "TIME" relief (115 m2) for Republic Clinical Medical Centre; wall and celling painting (40 m2) in Independence Palace (residence of the president of the Republic of Belarus); murals in the showroom (70 m2) in National History and Culture Museum-Reserve «Niasvizh» according to the project of D.O. Sursky and A.G. Trusov; "Ancient Greece" relief (27 m2) at a GEFEST facility; relief (10 m2) at "Priozerny" sanatorium (Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus); murals (6 m2) at Center of Enviromental tourism "Stańkovo" and others. Durning 2019-2020 was leading a group of artists from Design and Decorative and Applied Arts unit of BAU durning completion of sgraffito on fronts of the Old Castle in Grodno durning its restoration.
Successfully handles easel painting. Creates pieces with personal technique, marked by original view on interaction between humanity and nature. Personal technique is based on painting with acryl on canvas with use of different textures, thinnest glazing, volumetric outlines. Pieces contain deep understanding of human being, philosophical problems, which are always relevant to humanity. The artist is capable of poetising natural phenomenons, weaving thoroughgoing relief arabesques from simple lines.
Since 1995 actively participates in different exibitions, both regional and international. As today Vasili conducted more than 10 personal projects at different public showrooms in Minsk (including National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus and National Modern Arts Center), Warshaw (Poland), Vienna (Austria), Vitebsk (Belarus), Moskow (Russia), Paris (France). Personal projects are distinguished by creative ideas, innovative execution, characteristic appliance of performative practices.
Since 2012 the artist is an author of various ideas and a curator to such joint art-projects, as "Transformation into..." (National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, Minsk), "Аpocalypse?" (art gallery "University of Art", Minsk), "Different parallels" (Art Palace, BSU National Art Galery, Minsk), "Gentelmen's package" (National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, Minsk), National exibition "Sunflower seeds" (BSU National Art Galery, Minsk), exibition project FRAMS OF TIME (Double with ice) (Mihail Savicky Art Galery, Minsk), report exibition of Design and Decorative and Applied Arts unit of BAU "Another angle" (BSU National Art Galery, Minsk), "Colorful Angels" jointly with Pole artist community (Tyzenhaus Art Galery, Grodno) and others.
In 2018 ”And by feeling to see..." art-project had began, which became the first inclusive art-project of the artist designed for blind and visually impaired people. The project became an important step on a path to creating bounderless enviroment in Belarus. In 2019, a film dedicated to this project and overall inclusive art direction in Belarus was created by national TV channel "Belarus 3” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MjixunvWDE. Vasili keeps on developing inclusive projects to this day, by filling it with new ideas, topics, pieces and seeking for new ways to let people with disabilities enjoy fine arts. At this time, inclusive art-projects are considered unique in Belarus.
