I have been drawing and painting for about 30 years, without ever having learned, and I love it. I create, first, to satisfy a need for freedom, alignment and letting go through the creation of multiple worlds. Then, in a second time, when the painting is ready to be exposed, comes the moment of the exchange and I like to nourish myself with the feelings and emotions of other views.
Through the creation of my own supports based on recycled materials, I have gradually developed my style, moving from reproduction as close as possible to the subject to a more personal, liberated, intuitive expression, figurative or not. I have allowed myself to let go of the gesture and to express emotion in a way other than by copying, always trying to capture the intensity of a look, a subject, an atmosphere. The mixed technique I use, based on acrylic, pastel, ink and collage, allows me to play with colors, patterns and subjects that are laid down, superimposed, then underlined with acrylic marker to create deep and moving dimensions, sometimes hypnotic. The shapes settle, the colors impose themselves, the paintings are painted, the collages are made. Everything is simple, intuitive, free. Strata after strata, a painting is composed that I discover at the same time that I create it. It is a more and more spiritual process that often takes place in vertical formats.
Each painting can then become, for the observer, a space of emotions, resonances and journeys towards his own feelings and visions in the forms and the created universes.
When I achieve this, I feel like an artist passing on wonder.
