My name is Marta Frankowska. I live in Poland in Western Pomerania where I was born and raised. I started my adventure with art over ten years ago and I devote every free moment to creating my ideas and emotions. By experimenting for 12 years I developed my own technique of creating three-dimensional objects. It consists in combining different materials. These are usually fabric, concrete, wood, stone, cellulose and hardeners. I use recycled objects as well. I am constantly trying to find new ways of my utterance, new types of materials and expression. This is the driving force of my life. I do not create 'pretty' art. I rather show the other, dark side of man. My artworks often draw the viewer's attention, arousing his or her anxiety and forcing a deeper reflection. My work is also a kind of intimate, emotional notebook of the surrounding reality, to which the viewer adds his own story.
