Through the abstract compositions, paints, and texture, Nataliia Karavan seeks simply to express many different emotions, from calm and serenity to intensity and joy.
Finding our true self, self-identification, and discovering the beauty of nature are the main topics in her art practice. She paints in an abstract style, layers by layer creating an aesthetically strong piece trusting her intuition and primary sketches based on research of patterns, movements, compositions and colors of nature, plants, flowers. For collection “Floral ecstasy” Nataliia was inspired by Ukrainian traditional patterns seen on Ukrainian head scarves, better known as 'khustka' and Ukrainian artist Katerina Bilokur. Flowers for artist are the symbol of heaven, a perfect creation.
She loves to mix oil, spray paint, epoxy resin and create expressionist vibrant brushstrokes on canvas.

The paintings are imbued with the vital energy of light, expressing a sense of freedom, tranquility, and harmony. An aesthetic eye for color and love of nature drives the artist to develop her practice in an abstract style.

In spite of art education in UK and multicultural living experience in France, China, she has saved the unique artistic style influenced on both: traditional Slavic cultural heritage and personal vision.Painting every time leads her to new discoveries, help to stay in the moment here and now.
