Concept

Viktoriya Filipchenko has always been fascinated by interesting shapes of objects, color, light, and the play of shadows. Studying biology at the university gives its advantages in understanding the reflection of the forms of nature. She finds her inspiration in nature and sky, the movement of water, its depth, and its properties. Also, the versatility of the stones washed by this water. Artist studies natural phenomena in their various manifestations, the laws of physics, the refraction of light. The main idea of her art is to create harmony and pacification among those who contemplate her Art. Living in Italy, surrounded by beautiful landscape with its hills, gorgeous valleys, mountains, and the majestic sea that can be so different depending on the weather, from placid to turbulent, it was impossible not to fall in love with this beauty. It became a necessity for Viktoriya to transfer mher impressions to the canvas on a physical level. She improves in her technique, but she is also open to new experiments.

Biography

My name is Viktoria Filipchenko. I am an Ucranian painter based in Italy.
I was born in Ukraine in 1978, where I have always shown an interest and passion for painting.

I have been drawing since childhood. Since my school years, I have been trusted to design and paint the school newspaper, manifestos, theatrical scenery. Art has become an integral part of my life. I studied at an art school in my city. At that time I was working with such materials as watercolors, tempera, and gouache. After moving to Italy in 2001, I finally fell in love with the beautiful landscapes of this country with its sea, hills, and ancient towns full of history. I started to use more oil in my art. From time to time I took lessons from experienced craftsmen, learning new techniques and experimenting with materials and colors in my works. My favorite technique is realism-style oil painting. I like the softness of the oil and at the same time its strong note.
For several years now I have been represented online, I have orders for paintings, I have experience in exhibitions. Now my works are in private collections in the European Union, England, and North America.
