Born and raised in Switzerland, Gabriele was always inspired by art. She loved to paint since she was a child. However, her self-will was often her undoing at school. The teacher's instructions on how she had to paint constricted her. After not being accepted to the Art School in Lucerne she started a career in the travel industry. In 2003 she moved to Vienna with her family and one year later relocated to Los Angeles and then further south to Laguna Beach.
The artsy town of Laguna Beach was home for 7 years and inspired her in many ways. She met artists in the Laguna Beach art community, visited the outstanding art galleries in town and felt the urge to be creative. She took different art classes in Los Angeles and attended lamp work courses in Escondido but her busy work schedule never left her enough time to focus on her biggest dream: live a life where art is in the center.
In 2019 a few years after returning from the US she finally realized that she could no longer put off her dream of being an artist. She quit her office job and is now pursuing a career as a self-taught artist.
