ROBERTO GIORDANI ARTIST
Born in Cesena (Italy) on the 1st of June, 1967.
He is the son of a master blacksmith and has spent a long time, in his father’s workshop since he was a child where he absorbed, possibly subconsciously or maybe just as a game, the fascination of fire and incandescent iron which lets itself be shaped in the most amazing ways.
After the high school, he started working in mechanical and heavy carpentry installation sites as well as in forging workshops.
At the same time, the attraction for drawing and figurative arts in general led him to completing several kinds of courses, including those related to restauration, construction techniques of metal elements in historical buildings, drawing and macro metal sculpture.
Because of this increasing interest, from the early 1990s, he started attending and actively participating in exhibitions and performances by various Artists, master blacksmiths, painters, and sculptors, consolidating his intention of transferring the knowledge and abilities he had by then acquired, into an actual life and professional path.
In January 2014 he founded the international Academy “ARTS FACTORY”, involved several artists in the project of practising the various artistic disciplines and artistic residences in his workshop; he, in turn, is also invited by other schools or museum to teach Masters classes or give artistic demonstrations of different kinds.
In his workshop, he also organises training and work experience sessions for students, as well as events aimed at introducing his art and that of others.
His artistic research and experimentation on sculpting over the past few years have led him to using various materials, apart from metal, including ceramic, raku, wood and stone.
Today Roberto lives in an old farmhouse in a beautiful spot on the Romagna hills, adjacent to his house there is the workshop and a old deconsecrated church, used as an art gallery.
His many years of experience got led him to outstanding achievements, producing artworks for public and private clients.
His art is on display in the Australia, United States, England, Spain, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Sweden, Morocco, Germany and in a number of Italian cities.
