Photographer Elvira Kovrigina travels around the world and captures its shades. Her genre works
mentally transport the viewer to the most different corners of the planet, showing her non-trivial
side. After all, the place and sights often remain the background, which depicts the main character —
a person.
Elvira tries to reduce the psychological distance between herself and strangers with the help of
photographic equipment. One frame of it, like a film frame, is able to tell a whole story, immersing
the viewer in the world of depicted characters and landscapes.
Elvira prefers black-and-white photography, believing that if color is not important for understanding
the scene, then the work can be presented in monochrome.
It is not surprising that Elvira's favorite photographer is Henri Cartier-Bresson, thanks to whom
documentary photography was once elevated to the rank of art.
