David Suarez Velazquez was born in Mexico as the 5th son of 12 children. Growing up in a traditional Rancho way of living, David developed himself artistically in a self-taught way. David Suarez Velazquez was born in Mexico as the 5th son of 12 children. Growing up in a traditional Rancho way of living, David developed himself artistically in a self-taught way. At the age of 19 he decided to experience life in another country. Since then, David has lived and held individual and group exhibitions in the USA., TORONTO, Canada, PARIS, France while developing his painting skills. At present and for the last 7 years he has been living in OKINAWA, Japan.
His work is mostly abstract painting, using oil and acrylic on canvas. He also elaborates landscapes of the places where he lives. For 5 years, David has been expanding his artistic horizon by learning the traditional Okinawan pottery technique.
