Oil on canvas, depicting three females, a child, a teen, and a young woman. Each sits along the river where they have spent their lives. Each dreams in her own way; the child plays on the shore, pretending with rocks and shells, the teen has her back to the observer, leaving us to wonder about her expression but we know she looks toward the river and the forest, while the adult woman stares upward, imagining life beyond and away from the world she knows.

As an artist, I use natural surroundings to convey the spiritual in the ordinary and the beautiful in the natural. I want people to look at my work and feel a part of something "more." I give ordinary scenes an air of "dream" and seek to convey oneness with nature and the spirit that connects us all. I want to awaken the great wonderment of life in myself and in others. I desire that each painting be a poem in images with a deep sense of nature and spirit, bringing subtle hints of native tradition and heritage into play.
