Emilia Elfe (1975-2018)
Since childhood, Emilia showed creativity – she did drawing, music and figure skating. Drawing was her passion, that is why she entered art school and successfully graduated from it in 1989. From a young age, Emilia was fond of fashion. She was sketching and studied garment designing and construction.
Having obtained secondary education, Emilia entered the Design Department of the International Slavonic Institute of Moscow.
When studying in the institute, Emilia took an interest in astrology. She learned about specific features of women of every zodiacal sign. This information provided the basis for her diploma project “12 images – 12 zodiacal signs”. Image, style, construction of every clothes pattern, colour and finish – everything was in harmony with specific features of women of different zodiacal signs.
In 1997, Emilia graduated from the university. Examination board highly appreciated professional competence and originality of Emilia’s diploma project.
In 1997, Emilia opened a design studio, where she kept creating and developing women clothes. In her works, Emilia set heart on reflecting individuality and uniqueness of every woman, emotional and mental parts of personality.
Search of new images and desire to be free in self expression leaded Emilia to creating collages.
Since 2010, Emilia has created more than 200 bright and original women’s images using the technique of collages.
On 29.09.2018, Emilia Elfe passed away.
