Pomm came into this world already an artist. She never stopped drawing and painting, continually portraying this identity of a true artist since the day she was born. Everything she touched was left with some artistic element. This was intrinsic for her. There was no doubt in anyone’s mind what direction this child chose. She claimed she could paint as well as Raphael, Rembrandt and Norman Rockwell, and any other artist if she wanted to, but was influenced above all by those artists who told a story. She stated, “I idol the artists that have the ability to tell a story that we can understand. I want to tell stories and communicate life’s beauty because that is how I see the world and want to share that with others.” Pomm’s paintings evoke true emotional stories that move every viewer.

As a young adult and mother, Pomm painted realistic landscapes and portraits of her life. She travelled to the south of France on a regular basis, which explains the French farmhouses depicting the beautiful lighting of the area. As Pomm described, “I understand why Vincent Van Gogh, Cezanne and the other French impressionists were so enamored by the lighting in the south of France. It is a truly different light; uplifting and warm.”

Collected worldwide, her paintings are included in the collections of Tom Cruise, David Lettermen, Priscilla Presley and Rudy Giuliani to name just a few. Her watercolor painting Unspoken Courage received national acclaim after September 11, 2001. This piece now hangs at the New York City Fire Department Memorial Wall and Training Center. Another one of Pomm’s works, We Believe in Peace, has its home in the United Nations building in New York City.
