Concept

His work consist in observing how most of the world is constructed by layers, this is related to nature and humans, including art, education, and thoughts. He understand that knowledge is part of many layers that finally give birth to a story or thoughts, the more layers or knowledge we build in our minds the better story we can tell, somehow stories are very important and they play a significant part in the success of the final task, building a work of art.

Biography

Carlos Eguiguren
Was born in Santiago Chile in 1955,
1976 decided to become a photographer after studying Art at Universidad Catolica Chile. He started as
an assistant to Chilean photographer Roberto Edwards at Paula magazine
1979 emigrated to New York.
During the 14 years that he lived and worked in New York city as a photographer he established friendship
and made portraits of artist as Paul Jenkins, Bob Cato, Mitch Miller, Alfred Eisenstaedt, William Wegman, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Amy Arbus, Gordon Parks, Janos Starker, Milton Glaser,etc.
