Ania Draus was born and raised in Poland. Her childhood and teenage years she spent in a beautiful area, near Bieszczady Mountains, where she was surrounded by a lovely forest and wild nature. Since she remembers, she was always a creative and sensitive person, who was looking for new mediums and ways of expressing herself through the art. She was also curious about the human mind, human relations and philosophy. This approach led her to study Pedagogy, with psychology as a main subject of her interest. She has finished the University of Bialystok in Poland with Master Degree, but she still didn't feel totally fulfilled in her new role.
Next 10 years Ania was looking for her "place in life", exploring her strengths and weaknesses, searching inspiration in new places and learning a lot from other people. She started family eventually and settled down in Wales (UK).
The only thing, which didn't changed in her life was close connection with art. Expressing herself, her thoughts and ideas through art was coming naturally to Ania. At the point in life, she decided to take her passion to the next level and started study Textiles (BA) in Cardiff Metropolitan University. She graduated with Diploma in Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Textiles in 2021. She is currently surface pattern designer, natural dyer and painter.
