I am Marina Tereshkina, a pen artist. The themes of nature, animalism, and architecture are close to me. While working on a drawing, the process itself is an incredible pleasure: structuring the composition, creating density, saturating objects with details, transferring texture. I only use ink and a steel pen. And all I have is to sculpt the volume with a line, direction, length, and thickness. With a minimum of tools I enjoy gaining a maximum of expressive possibilities.

Modern technologies provided access to infinite information across the globe. The sense of unlimited possibilities in getting any data at any moment arose. You don't need to remember anything, concentrate and keep the focus. On the one hand there is abundance and diversity. On the other hand everything is relatively superficial. To observe, identify the main thing, notice the beauty in the flow of daily routine, and showcase this in detail – this is the goal I set for myself when working on a drawing.
