Canna and Fvan are two illustrators and screen printers who live and work in Shanghai, China. Not only they are a loving couple in life, they are also partners in art. Canna, a native Shanghainese, her works are fusions between traditional Chinese history and high-tech future just like the metropolis itself. Fvan, a hardcore north-easterner, his works are interactions between nostalgic personal memory and dream like science fictionalized future. Their distinctive Chinese Cyberpunk style pictures the high tech futures while recalling the Chinese traditions. Insisting on hand printing each work with limited editions, the young artists are the only group in China who design and hand print their works themselves with strict limits on number of editions.“ We hope one day our works can be recognized by the secondary market such as auction houses, and we can’t achieve that if our works are made in to T-shirts and mugs and everywhere. Why we want to enter the secondary market? Because we want to make a living with our art, and we want to spend the money while we are alive,”

This ambitious young group has produced over 50 works in only 2 years time. And yet they have won the attention of Singularity Plan (a national scale independent art festival) and has their works presented in the 8th Singularity Plan Art Festival which was held in the Modern Art Museum Shanghai in the May of 2021.
