Carla Orete was born in Angola, she is an artist who cultivates the treasure of a unique look. Her work is a game of mirrors that catches you without nuances. An invisible triangle made of looks: Carla's, the eyes of her women and yours. Three vertices to map the naked root of the feminine, the essence of man, his first skin, his first heartbeat. Carla creates from instinct for those who love to connect the essential with the gaze.

I was born in Angola and currently live in Madrid and I am a self-taught plastic artist.
I have displayed several exhibitions in countries like Spain, Portugal, Germany and Italy.
In my beginnigs I used to use the oil on canvas format until a few years ago I felt attracted by different types of handmade papers from Japan or Mexico so I began painting on them.
My first exhibition on paper format was in the Contemporary Art Fair of Málaga, Spain.
Nowadays I keep using Paper to my paintings, applaying different textures as it makes me dive into a dreamlike world of delicacy and feminity.
