Kerry was born and raised in a small dusty town in country South Australia - the daughter of farmers. She distinctly recalls seeing articles about Jackson Pollock and Andy Warhol as a teenager but thought that being an artist was out of her reach. After a diversion into a "sensible career" and motherhood, Kerry became a professional artist, conceptually trained through the South Australian School of Art with a Bachelor of Visual Art, specialising in Painting. On her artistic journey she has developed her style from hyper realistic beginnings to simplified shape and form with the influences of action painting Expressionism and Pop Art. So think along the lines of Jackson Pollock / Helen Frankenthala meets Andy Warhol / Banksy.

Today she lives in Darwin in the Northern Territory, Australia, along with her new partner, their combined six children, three dogs, and five chickens. Kerry is also a yoga teacher and loves to encourage her yogis to nurture their bodies towards healing, vitality and health.

Mostly working from photographs and film stills, Kerry has a particular interest in observing the female image and the social implications that these images represent. She formerly came from an 18 year domestically abusive marriage so much of her interest at this point in time is in equality, gender discrimination, and horizontal segregation. The way that she paints is also reflective of this interest as she paints entirely on the horizontal surface.

Kerry uses her art to inspire freedom, healing, and restoration.
