MASSIMO MOTTA was born in Milan in 1952 where he lives and works. First interested in practicing photography at the same time as a tool required by science (he is a biologist devoted to research) and as an art tout court, Motta later ended up making a reversal.: he entirely concentrated himself on the research in the terrain of photography as an art tout court Furthermore, he dived into the history of that discipline especially in its experimental aspects, especially studying passionately Eadweard Muybridge and his research on movement. The result was a series of works entitled “On this side of time”. Moreover, this period is preceded by his experimentation around three cycles: Light and Night, A concept of Painting, Shadows. He also experimented his own way of blending painting and photography (hybrid photography), being understood that the final result was absolutely photographic. He held his main solo exhibitions in Rome, Milan, Seregno, Catania, Syracuse, Taormina. The various group exhibitions include "El sombrero de tres picos" (with Alvaro and Marcello Pietrantoni, curated by Carmelo Strano), Pirelli Skyscraper, Lombardy Region, 2017 and "Up Up / up date upgrade", an international photography exhibition at Vignoli museum, Municipality of Seregno.
